October Recommendation: Blade

Ladies and gentlemen, this is one of the greatest decisions I've ever made when it comes to the month of Halloween. And I know, I've said that a bunch of times, but I really mean it this time when it comes do this greatest vampire movie of all time, Blade. Furthermore, since I desperately needed to get the bad taste out of my mouth from watching Sinners, I need to make a point to society that Michael B. Jordan has nothing when it comes to the presence of Wesley Snipes as the legendary vampire hunter BLADE!
Born from a mother who was attacked by a vampire, Blade is a Daywalker (half human, half vampire) who wages and personal war between vampires who have been living among us for centuries. Deacon Frost (Stephan Dorff) a nearly turned vampire wants to conquer mankind with the powers of a blood God. Both men will face each other that will decide the fate of the world without nobody knowing.
I'll admit that I was a little bit weary when it came to watching this movie as well as picking a right time to watch it, but I was waiting for the PM pills to kick in and so, 12 AM makes you do crazy things in life. Though I'm not going to lie through first first five minutes of the movie and the kick a** music of New Order's "Confusion" kicked in I was like "OH YEAH!" and then Blade aka Wesley Snipes came into frame I was so, happy it brought a huge smile on my face. And sorry, not sorry it's officially time for someone to put the foot down and tell the world that this is how you make a great Vampire movie no more of this liberal, woke, bullsh**t where you have to literally invite a vampire into your household so they can murder you in their sleep or vampires suddenly have diamond skin whenever they're out in sunlight, NO I'M PUTTING MY FOOT DOWN AND THE BUCK IS GOING TO STOP RIGHT HERE, BLADE IS THE GOAT OF MODERN VAMPIRE STORY TELLING. AND IF YOU SERIOUSLY DON'T LOVE BLADE OR BLADE TWO THEN YOU DON'T LOVE FREEDOM. Okay, okay, I'm sorry I went on a personal rant but without Blade then you wouldn't see the lights of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor's pecks or Hugh Jackman's greatest and only performance as Wolverine. Moreover, I'm not telling you a lie when I say this the Marvel movies before Blade were not successful as well as nearly going into bad state in terms of movies because Hollywood only viewed Superman and Batman to be the go to Superhero movies to watch, additionally Blade was the first Marvel movie to really change the Superhero aspect as well as give birth to the MCU. So, in all actuality you owe a trillion thanks to Wesley Snipes performance as Blade, no matter how much taxes he didn't pay or whatever political esk bullsh**t you can muster in your troll, liberal mind. This movie alone proves that Wesley Snipes is the only Blade that can ever play Blade in fact I purpose that the Snipes should change is middle name to Blade hence Wesley "Blade" Snipes, furthermore long before I saw Major League or White Men Can't Jump, I always looked at Wesley Snipes as Blade never anything else and now, watching those classic Snipes films back in my teens it was a bit crazy to see him play a wise cracking jokester compared to playing Blade whose a bit more serious but then again Snipes has always been an underappreciative actor. Stephan Dorff is excellent as a over the top villain, especially since this movie was made in the late 90's and nobody expected this film to be great and Dorff was given great freedom to play Deacon Frost in the best way possible. Even the Late Kris Kristofferson as Blade's mentor Whistler, you know watching him play this great character I tend to forget he died two years ago and now going back to him playing Abraham Whistler I do shed a tear while watching Blade because he was another one of those mentor characters that I grew up watching and it's always sad seeing him in his iconic role. No doubt Blade is the perfect vampire movie of modern cinema, though tied with Blade 2, for a gillion reasons if you look back when Marvel was going in the post financial bankruptcy period and they literally had to sell character rights in order to survive and so, Blade was the lifeline for Hollywood films so, after its success Hollywood looked to it as a open door for other Superhero films not, Superman or Batman that can be box-office hits. Blade and Blade 2 are both on Peacock, Trinity on the other hand you can avoid, but I will go to my grave and say that Blade is by far the most perfect modern vampire movie you'll ever going to get in modern cinema so all those fans of Sinners for which are the movie critics and Twilight fans can all kiss my hair no-a**.
