Halloween II

At first I tried to watch the movie Obsession, and I couldn't get through the massive, bad acting from one of the male leads, then it I literally tried to watch Scary Movie and it was getting to the point where I was like "okay where the hell is Ray, Ray should be in every scene on the scene", then I went to desperation and so, scrolling my Peacock account literally went to desperation and so, I landed on Halloween II.
After failing to kill Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) and taking six bullets in the chest from Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasance), Michael Myers has followed Laurie to the Hospital and, well he goes on a kill crazy rampage.
I love the first Halloween movie saw, the Halloween movie and Halloween: H20 on TV and that's pretty much the only Michael Myers movies I've seen. And so, diving into Halloween II, I knew I'd seen bits and pieces of the film especially the infamous scene of Michael Myers on fire as well as picking up where the first film left off and that's basically it, so, basically watching the film all the way through I slowly realized how awful it truly was, like when you think of the original Halloween movie, you think of it as a perfect low-budget slasher movie and everything John Carpenter used or improvised especially with the music was just perfect in every step of the movie. With this movie, and of course it's a sequel you'd imagine sequel being bigger and better, well, this movie they tried to improve everything especially remixing the music to which I was extremely bumped because I felt like "why would you mess with that perfect theme music?" And at times it felt like Jaimie Lee Curtis was just not doing a who lot of anything and granted there were times when I was a bit off with the movie and choose to ignore some of the characters but she was either not saying a word or saving all that energy for the climax of the movie and to be truthfully honest I'm not quite sure if she even knows if Michael and her are related either that or I didn't pay attention. Speaking of Donald Pleasence there were few times in the movie where he does a great job in terms of chewing the scenery and there were some good moments especially when he tries to shoot the not-Michael Myers and for some reason gets run over as well as explodes into flames that was pretty much the best part of that whole movie. And yet they kill off Loomis? Or planned to kill him off but then I suddenly realized wait didn't he return for the other sequels? I admit I do feel the need to watch Halloween 4 and 5 because their what supposed to be Pleasance final movie roles until his liver, gave out because the man was paid in booze money, but after watching Halloween II, I think I'm going to wait till next October. Most sequels to horror films or any genre, are supposed to be bigger and better but this film it was like the intentionally made it to be the worst sequel I've ever seen and granted not as bad as the first three Friday the 13th films because they're not even close to being films, now if you feel the need to watch Halloween II, just think of the Dare program and just say no.
