I had a long shift of work and slept an entire day till night hit and so, knowing that I'm not going to be going back to sleep any time soon I decided to watch an Italian slasher movie, and I'm not joking when I say Italian slasher movie I mean it's like of all things one Italian director did right in terms of westerns other Italian directors can't follow up in terms of Sergio Leone's success. Anyway, Night Killer is a great example of Leone to this day rolling over in his grave.
A murderous maniac who wears a rubber mask kill women. A sort of young woman hears about these murders, not knowing the murderer is coming for her.
Sadly, this was another one of those films that Red Letter Media reviewed in their Best of the Worst series on YouTube and luckily finding it on Tubi was no problem considering you can find almost anything on Tubi these days. And of course they warned this film being Italian though I didn't realized it would be this boring like sure most of these has some funny moments like the infamous man streaking around in his undies and the hotel guy asking "hey bud what happened to your clothes?" then the guy reply's "I got molested in the little BOYS room" and if you haven't seen this movie apologies for spoiling it though not a whole lot to spoil considering this film is ninety minutes long for which is fine but everything else becomes boring through the course of the movie, and the strange toxic relationship between what is supposed to be a husband making his wife remember s**t but doing screwed up things is funny? But still in the confused stage, like watching this film all the way through I felt like I said "what is this" or "what's going on" several times, and yet I'm still just wondering how the hell the studios of Italy agreed to this or did they read the script? Or did they run out of money to make this film? Like there are so many questions I have about this film even though this was made by the same guy who made Trolls 2. And when it comes to the Hollywood system sure, you must make these weird, dumb, bad movies to keep the lights on but the last time Italy made a great movie was when Sergio Leone was still alive. Though to be fair I'm showing slight sarcasm because there is the film Life is Beautiful, upon which I haven't seen, but with films like these it still gives me a huge headache in terms of who green lit these strange, dubbed movies? Look if you’re looking for some entertainment to turn your brain off from today's bulls**t then I would defiantly recommend watching Night Killer on Tubi, though to be warned you'll feel a bit bored and so, I would just stick to watching Evil Toons but make sure your wife and kids aren't watching.
